Rank-size-rule Valid or Invalid: In Bolivia's case, the rank-size-rule may have some validity in the pattern of decreasing population size in the cities smaller than the largest city. They seem to follow the rule of the second largest city is half the size of the largest yet it is slightly off by about 100,00. However, as it progresses, the other cities do follow suit and show smaller and smaller populations sizes that are only a few 100,000 off or so, getting closer and closer to the actual sizes predicted through rank-size-rule. Although the actual population fluctuates slightly from the predicted populations, they are quite close therefore proven somewhat valid.
